Why do I want a tablet? All for the Photoshop/Illustrator work. And let me tell you, it’s a lot easier to retouch a photo with a tablet than with a mouse. Some may disagree with that, but I know the difference now and for me it’s better to have a graphic tablet.

As I ordered the 27″ iMac, Unimall offered a cheap Bamboo Pen&Touch Tablet – that AND the special discount you get if you’re a student/techer/etc is the ultimate argument to buy via Unimall.

Unimall will redirect you to the original online Apple store and you can buy the product you want, but with the discount from Unimall.

So, yay for me! I wanted a new Tablet anyway and if I can get it cheap, hey why not?

Now to the review of the Wacom Bamboo Pen&Touch.

The pen feels good in the hand and works so smoothly – but I haven’t thought otherwise from Wacom. You get an extra PreferencesPane where you can adjust lots of different things like speed, the buttons and how the tablet width/height shall adjust to the screen.

The touch feature is really nice and a lot of fun. It requires some practice – especially if you’re used to the MacBook/MacBookPro touchpad.

I have yet to really work on a project with it, but I’m on holidays now and have a lot of cleaning/home improvement to do ;)

I’m very pleased with the sound quality. I worried a little after I’ve read some bad comments on Amazon and various forums, but I’m more than pleased with them.

I also bought this shiny Bender figure! I like futurama and the alu Bender just fits perfectly to the Harman/Kardon speaker ;)

When I sold my Macbook I soon realised, that my old sleeve for 13″ wouldn’t fit on the larger MacBookPro 15″ :P
So I looked around for a new sleeve and it was very hard to find something to my liking. But finally Amazon had a interesting cool sleeve: 10turio Gajus Sleeve 12 for 15,4″ Notebooks.

I also decided to buy a new bag to fit the MacBookPro and all my school stuff plus food. The Lässig LEB118G – Classic Easy Bag in berry. I love this two colors!
And it has so many useful pockets and storage possibilities. The bag is of course water resistant and you can adjust the shoulder strap.

And finally, the mStand from RainDesign!

It’s so elegant and matches the design of the iMac perfectly. I was sceptical at first because of the price – there are a lot of cheaper products out there – but it’s really worth the money. It keeps my MacBookPro cool because it’s made of aluminium. It also has little rubber-thingies on the top to make sure that your laptop won’t be scratched.

I would recommend the mStand to everyone, especially if you have an iMac.

Oh, well. By now almost everyone has more than just one social networking service. And I just recentyl discovered a new one, gdgt – a site about your gadgets, you can add the gadgets you had/have/want to.

So, I looked for a service where I can see all my social networks and a way to display them on websites. And there really is a very cool service out there: dandyID!

They have currently over 150 services available and you can send them a new service to add to their list. Here is a list of services DandyID supports.

DandyID offers cool sharing services, like generating an eMail footer for you, many widgets you can use on every site or third-party plugins Wordpress, Blogger, Firefox, Facebook and Squidoo.

Of course you can add other DandyID users and see if they share some of your networks.

Don’t forget to stop by if you’re a DandyID user now ;)

I bought the Sigma 105mm 2.8 Macro lens a few weeks ago and I have to say, it is a damn good lens. It’s really worth the money.

I was a little sceptic at first, because I read a lot of problems and critic posts about Sigma lenses, but I’m it turned out that my fear was unnecessary. I would reccomend this lens to everyone, everytime. So if you’re searching for a very good, but not too expensiv Macro lens, I say: Go and get the Sigma 105mm! (Remember, you must use a tripod for macro shots. It’s so difficult to do it without it.)

Here are some sample shots:
